like silk breathing is part of love without limits!
I wanted to bring it to everyone's attention, because those of us writing and creating so-called degenerate art must hold the line in dark times, that Like Silk Breathing is officially part of the Love Without Limits collection via Barnes and Noble. Click through, click through!

Today, I struggle with what to say in a newsletter that should be a space where I have no qualms speaking my mind. The world is heavy and it feels like bad people are winning. I know, however... because I'm old enough now to spot the patterns and pitfalls... that not all good things are visible as they happen. So I do have the greatest of faith that all is not awful even if I cannot see proof.
Still, stuff is mad shitty, innit?

If you're new here, Silk is listed as Book 1 in the series because it was published first, which means you can absolutely begin with it and read the prequels later. (Those would be Kraken, Flint, and Valentines.)
For the blurb connoisseurs, I can serve you this:
In Like Silk Breathing, aura-sensing, self-medicating empath Tom Apollyon comes to work at his uncle's pub in Cromer. While on a late-night walk with an ominous intent, he meets the urbane selkie Theo Harper. But... because what else would be the case when you meet an intriguing fellow... Theo is involved with Tom's ex, Cambridge toff David Mills. Needless to say, Tom and David have a past. They don't get along well. When Theo's skin goes missing—likely due to David’s pettiness—Tom thinks he can find it himself and secure their future, David be damned. He refuses to end up like his uncle, who skulks about pining for his lost love... a mysterious man called Alastair.
Being chosen for this grouping presents a great opportunity to start reading Threads of Wyrd if you haven't; if you have, it's an equally excellent time to recommend it to others.
Even if my work doesn't seem like your cup of tea and you think someone you know might enjoy it, consider spreading the word. I'd certainly appreciate it during this dark night of humanity's soul! And though I can't muster much excitement over Pride Month festivities at present, any support would be a lovely way to bolster a queer author.
Remember: be happy to spite them, and if you can't be happy, at least be grouchy and kind x
